If you still need these, I have them. Email me back to confirm.

There is. Well, at least to some extent. The internal format DMP uses
(the AMF format) is a MIDI-like format with 'events' instead of effects
per row. So internally, there is no such thing as a row at a fixed
position. In order to be able to do repeats Otto has to come up with
something like specifying to what position (in the AMF stream) the song
position has to jump. That seems rather eay to me, but Otto has still not
implemented it.

Hello,
I just have a question: Can you adjust the volume at the command line?
Everytime I starts the DMP, I have to manually adjust the volume. The
version before accepts command like "-a10" to lower the volume. Is there
anyway to avoid that?
thanks for any idea,

That's right, I've got the same problem with my GUS MAX : I have to lower
the volume to 5 if I don't want my speakers to explode !! Apparently, the
volume is louder with the CRYSTAL codec driver than the GF1 driver's.
Anybody could tell me how to avoid that ?

Does DMP 4.0x not have the desqview detection codes in it anymore? It is
_far_ more hogging of the DV resources, and doesn't play nearly as
well...
Forgive me if I'm duping a question, I was switching accounts, and
therefore unjoined of the mailing list for a few days...

Is there any advantage to using the CODEC driver? I tried it and it actually
sounded a bit worse, or at least it seemed that way...

You're right.. the new DMP doesn't do anything to detect the presence of
DeqView nor Windows...

No, I didn't have problems with this (I found the directory), but here's
my plight:
I received part 2 of 2 of the updated drivers (in DMP-LIST), but never
part 1. It's been 6 days; so I know it's been lost somewhere in the
bitbucket. I'd like to get it, but when I went to ftp.cdrom.com, I didn't
really know what filename to look for. Could someone PLEASE write to me
(privately) and tell me what the filename for the updated drivers is?
TIA.

Still unable to get DMP 4 to work reliably on either of my machines. On
the DTK 486/33 and SB Pro, when I try to shell out to DOS, DMP continues
to play in the background, but I get no DOS prompt and am 'effectively'
locked up.
On the 486DX2/66 with the SB16, I get the 'appearance' that DMP is
playing, but hear no sound. DMP 301 works fine on both machines.
Any suggestions from anyone (changing sound cards isn't a viable
answer).

@D[CO=>BP]
Will you be adding it back anytime soon? I like the setup (Even though
the file choose doesn't respect the command-line screen lines
argument...) but it's of no use to me as a stand-alone only player...
And DMP 3.x was the best DV-aware player I've found... everything else
slows down all windows horribly (I'd rather get a stutter) or makes a
clicking sound under DV... (or just plain crashes, close to what DMP 4
does...)

I will make the Aria driver as soon as I have time for it...
